Ricoh GR3 High Contrast Black and White

Ricoh GR3 High Contrast Black and White

I started to notice great Street Photography images taken using the Ricoh GR3 High Contrast Black and White mode appear on Social Media. I must admit I wasn’t familiar with the Ricoh GR3 camera before then. After doing lots of research online & on YouTube it started to become evident that this little camera had a cult following. The images I was seeing were outstanding. Especially the High Contrast Black and White images. I had been looking for a compact camera for a while, one I could easily carry around in my pocket or rucksack & yet still capture high quality images.

Since having this fantastic camera I have found myself using the High Contrast Black and White mode the most. My style of Street Photography evolved organically & I was drawn to Architectural shapes, graphic compositional elements & the play between high and low contrast. The Ricoh GR3 allows me to shoot quickly & creatively. I shoot in JPEG & find the images to be incredibly sharp. This article isn’t a technical review, more of sharing my images & my style of shooting using the High Contrast Black and White mode.
