It was great to see my Portrait of Actor Daniel Rock on the National Theatre website. Daniel is currently starring in the touring production of War Horse, which is receiving fantastic reviews. Daniel got in touch as he was in need of an updated Actor Headshot & it was a pleasure to photograph him again.
I had previously photographed a younger Daniel a few years ago on location in Birmingham. Capturing a set of Editorial Portraits utilising various locations around Birmingham City Centre. You can see those set of images HERE.
This time around I used a simple lighting set up with very minimal retouching. As an actor it was important for Daniel to be represented as accurately as possible. The session took place in a local Town Hall which had this wonderful deep red stage curtain. Once the Actor Headshots were captured, we used the stage to set up some extra images for Daniel’s portfolio.
