The Edgbaston Hotel is such an awesome venue & I can’t believe that as a Birmingham Corporate Event Photographer I hadn’t photographed here before! When I was contacted by premium spirits company Maxxium UK to photograph one of their Courvoisier ‘Toast of Paris’ Masterclass events, I was excited to discover it was being held at this plush hotel. Not only that, but the actual Masterclass would take place downstairs in their gorgeous Cocktail Lounge – with it’s Art Decor gold & jet black decor it was a photographers dream. I popped in to the Hotel to have a look before the date of the actual event & all the staff were super friendly & helpful, which always makes my role as the Official Event Photographer run smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble & I always like to give my clients a premium service, including a pre-visit to their chosen Event space to introduce myself, make great connections & also to get my creative juices flowing.

The Courvoisier Masterclass was hosted by Brand Ambassador Rebecca Asseline, who was wonderful to work with. Full of both passion & knowledge, she made all the attendees feel at home. Espresso Martini & canapes were served as Rebecca talked about Courvoisier history & heritage. A tasting of Courvoisier VSOP, followed by a tasting of Remy VSOP followed – including a “blind” taste wearing the very luxurious Courvoisier blindfolds. Lots of things to photograph & I enjoyed capturing the spirit & atmosphere of the event.
