When I received an email from a top London publisher asking if I would photograph one of their best selling Author’s I didn’t have to think twice about it. I travelled down to their offices in London for a lovely meeting & we talked about the type of images they wanted for her book jacket profile & website/social media. They particularly like my ‘A Day In The Life Of..’ sessions where through photography we get to see a person’s character & personality shine through. They explained to me that Rosie Goodwin’s novels are in the top 100 most borrowed & that they regularly appear in the Heatseekers charts. I particularly loved that many of her novels were set at various locations within Warwickshire & we decided that it would be a really cool idea to capture some images of Rosie visiting these places, together with images of her working at home & with her beloved Shihtzu’s.
When I met Rosie at home we hit it off straight away! She’s warm, funny & very down to earth. She absolutely adores her family & her home & as a photographer it was important for me to capture that. She has many fans & it was important the images were beautiful & natural. I loved travelling to the various locations that were inspirations for her novels & even more so when she rewarded me with signed copies of two of her books. I will treasure them, least of all as a reminder of a really great day.
